Rev. C. Norman Moran
Rev. C. Norman Moran, President of the CEH Board, member of founding feasibility group and board and serves as Director of Church Relations and Mobilization.
Norm has a Missions Diploma from Elim Bible Institute, a Bachelors from Roberts Wesleyan, did undergraduate studies at Philadelphia Bible Institute and graduate studies at Wheaton College and Alfred University. He did clinical studies at Roswell Cancer Institute in association with the University of Buffalo. He has participated in numerous training courses and seminars under people like Jay Adams, Howard Hendricks, Olin Hendrix to name a few.
Norm has been a church planter, pastor, school teacher at high school and college level, counselor, mediator and an Area Director in the East Central UP.S. with CB International, now World Venture. That work included church relations, oversight, administrative, and pastoral care of missionaries, recruitment and training of new appointees, conducting Great Commission Seminars, Global Access Seminars, speaking at missions conferences and taking short term teams overseas.
Norm has provided leadership in a number of start up ministries including the founding of Geneseo Baptist Church (now Christ Community Church), Genesee Valley Youth for Christ, Susquehanna Valley Association of Evangelicals Oneonta Christian School, Central New York Youth for Christ and The Seminary of the East.
Norm has served as Associate Pastor of Lima Baptist Church, Lima, NY, and Senior Pastor of Geneseo Baptist Church, LaGrange Baptist Church, Pavilion, NY; Main St. Baptist Church in Oneonta, NY; and First Baptist Church of Morris, NY. He has served as Vice President of New York State Association of Evangelicals, President of New York State Christian Endeavor, President of CBA of New York and has served on and chaired numerous ministry groups, including Greater Rochester's Association of Evangelicals, Leighton Ford Rochester Crusade and Central NY Bill Glass Crusade and the Eastern Regional Conference of CB Northeast at Word of Life, Schroon Lake, NY.
Norm and his wife Nancy live in Oneonta, NY, and are the parents of three children and grandparents of five. Until recently they pastored the First Baptist Church of Morris, NY, where they still attend. In retirement, Norm plans to devote more time to Compassion Evangelical Hospital, he will be available for missions events, seminars, etc.
